The night of December 31, 2014 was passed in fellowship and reflection at the Richland Park Church of Christ. We reminisced on our strengths and weaknesses and as a result the desire to serve in God’s kingdom was renewed, and with it the theme that governs this year’s activities - A church where each member ministers. One aspect of ministry is evangelism and when we received the offer from bro. Jimmy Bracken to conduct the Fishers of Men programme at Richland Park we gladly accepted.

This ten-week course conducted by bro. Ron Maynard, with his wife Louise in full support. It has open our eyes to new approaches in our evangelistic strategies for which we are thankful. The Developing Interest Reports that are shared weekly reflect the varied views of persons that may be seeking out bible truths. The weekly studies that must be completed aids us in identifying the needs of our students and as such effectively meeting them, simply by using carefully considered open questions and the scriptures.
At Richland Park we realize the importance of equipping ourselves to be able to go out into all the world to preach the gospel to everyone (Matthew 28:19-20) and this is being reflecting as members are consistently attending the classes and enthusiastically sharing their experiences from their encounters out in the field where the harvest is plentiful. In doing this, we continue to invest in our heavenly account, ensuring that we get to heaven and taking with us as many others as possible. In the end we are without excuse for not sharing our faith.
It is encouraging to note that God views those who preach the gospel as having beautiful feet (Romans 10:15, Isaiah 52:7) so with this in mind let us all continue to walk on carrying the Word.
