God has given us a wonderful gift. This gift costs a lot, but it is free. Eternal life is a gift from God. He offered us salvation while we were His enemies. It is offered freely to all.

- Salvation cost God His only Son.
- It cost Jesus renunciation of His glory and majesty in Heaven.
- It cost Jesus humiliation of suffering and servitude.
- It cost the Holy Spirit.
- It cost us the denial of self. We ought not accept the gift of salvation without counting the cost.
