- Peace WITH our fellowmen (Matthew 5:9).
- Peace WITH God, or reconciliation (Romans 5:1).
- Peace OF God (Colossians 3:15).
The peace of God is NOT the absence of trials. It is the understanding that in the midst of trials we can still be at rest. To have God's peace, we must:
- Understand that God is at work in our lives.
- Have the assurance that Christ's presence comes to us in the midst of trials.
- Know that Jesus' power sustains and comforts us.
- Have great expectations fed by our faith in the word of God.
